Expanding on the concept of the original Careers For Me, the
Plus version is a 24-page consumable booklet which goes into
more depth about clusters. The assessment probes more about the
students skills as well as interests. And, the student is asked
to do more detailed research than what the younger versions ask
of the user.
This new paper-pencil assessment encourages students to think
about their interests to guide them towards careers. Using
Careers For Me, your students will:
- Learn more about themselves and their personal interests
- Gain an awareness of various new job titles
- Be exposed to the concept of school-to-work
- Have an understanding of how jobs can be grouped into
clusters
- Be encouraged to research careers which fit their
interests
- Start the process of how they fit in with the world of
work
- Begin career awareness & preparation in a non-stressful
and insightful manner

This is the Careers for Me version that goes the most in
depth. Like the print version, it is colorful with fun graphics,
easy-to-read and very easy to follow with little help required
from an administrator. Users are asked to click on descriptions
of activities and subjects that they not only enjoy, but also
those in which they consider themselves skilled. From there they
will get their results which shows which Careers for Me career
cluster had the highest number of activities that were checked
off. Adding in other attributes, such as earnings needs and
educational and training desires, the student will get a
personalized list of careers recommended for them to research.
In addition to the research screens which walk the student
through the process of learning about specific careers, the
students will answer SCANS related questions which help them
identify and improve their skills.
