Where Do I Fit In?
For Middle School to High School Students
It’s important for a teen to have a sound understanding of the
world of work and how they can fit into the future workforce. the
point is made that we do best what we really want to do. So how do
we gather information about ourselves? To do this well, we must look
at our interests, goals and values, preferred activities, lifestyle
and personality. How does school fit into the equation? Where
Do I Fit In? explores all these issues with clear
discussions and graphics. Supporting duplicating masters will be
shipped in June, 2004 to all orders. Approximately 20 minutes,
©2004. Part of the Get A Job! A Guide for Teens video series.

employer with your resume? Writing a resume is one of the most
difficult tasks a person must do and there is a lot of pressure to
do it well. So how do you help students write a resume? First, a
student has to understand the purpose of a resume. We have broken
this down into simple steps: Information Gathering: Writing an
Objective Statement; How to Take Real Life Experiences and Translate

For Middle School - High School Students

teens are covered: networking with family and friends, classifieds,
internet and the common technique of dropping in on the business to
ask if they have any openings. Utilizing the phone, computer and
word of mouth are al important when looking for a job. This video

Successful Interviewing: The Do's and Don'ts
For Middle School and High School Students
A job interview can be the most crucial 15 minutes in a job
search. And, it is usually the most anxious 15 minutes. The
interview is the culmination of hard work and with a little
preparation, it can be a person’s time to shine. Watching this video
will give the student viewer examples of right and wrong ways to
interview, including how to dress, greeting people, being on time
and how to answer the obvious questions like “tell me about
yourself”. You never have a second chance for a first impression, so
being prepared will gain confidence and increase the chances of
success! Supporting duplicating masters will be shipped in June,
2004 to al orders. Approximately 20 minutes, ©2004.
Teens at Work and Money Management
For Middle School - High School Students
There are two parts to this video: Keeping the Job and
Understanding Your Paycheck. How to keep a job is broken down into
simple “rules”: be on time; know what is expected of you (and ask
questions if you don’t know); work hard; don’t gossip, dress
appropriately; and, do you best.
When someone first starts getting a paycheck, it can be confusing to
understand what happens to the money that seems to disappear. What
do teens do with their paycheck? Some spend it on video games, food
and movies while others save. This video helps young people
understand their goals, which will help them budget and plan what to
do with their money instead of spending it and always being broke.
Even some adults need reminding of this lesson! Includes supporting
duplicating masters (to be shipped by June 2004). Approximately 20
minutes, copyright 2004.
